Editorial Policy

Last updated:

This policy describes how content on ToolJagat is created and maintained. Our goal is simple: every page should genuinely help a real person solve a real problem, and every number on it should be right.

People first

  • Each tool page exists because people actually search for and need that calculation. We do not mass-produce near-duplicate pages for cities, amounts or keywords.
  • Pages explain the result in plain language, show how to use the tool, give the formula with a worked example, cover special cases and common mistakes, and answer the questions people really ask.
  • We write for Hindi readers in natural Hindi, not literal translations, and we only publish a Hindi page when it is complete.

Sources and accuracy

  • Tax slabs, stamp-duty rates, tariffs and any other legal or financial figure are taken only from official sources (government notifications, regulator websites, statutes). They are never written from memory.
  • Every data file in our codebase records the source URL, source title, date verified and effective date.
  • Every calculation is a pure function with automated tests whose expected values were checked by hand by the owner. A failing test blocks publication.
  • Each tool page displays a "Last verified" date and links to the sources used.

Use of AI

We may use AI tools to help draft explanations and code. Every draft is reviewed and edited by a human before publication, every number must match the tool's own output or a cited source, and every calculation must pass its tests. AI never decides a rate or a rule.

Independence

  • Advertising (for example Google AdSense) is clearly labelled and has no influence on calculations or editorial content.
  • We do not accept payment for placing links or recommending products in tools. If we ever add affiliate links, they will be labelled "Sponsored" and used only where genuinely relevant.
  • We do not scrape or copy other websites.

Corrections

If you find an error, email contact@tooljagat.com. We verify reports against official sources, publish fixes promptly, update the "Last verified" date and, for material changes, note the correction on the page and in our changelog.
